All the Great Tech in the 2024 Nissan Rogue
The Nissan Rogue is back for the 2024 model year, and we cannot wait to show drivers what Nissan has in store for its loyal customers. This compact SUV still delivers highly competitive fuel economy for its segment, a configurable interior, all-wheel drive options, some solid towing abilities, and a variety of trims to appeal to different drivers. However, if you’re checking out a brand-new Nissan Rogue for sale and visit us to test drive the 2024 model, we’ll be especially excited to show you its exciting new tech features.
Being an adventure-ready vehicle, the Rogue is a perfect fit for some modern and innovative tech features. When you’re hitting the open road to explore new territory and visit new national landmarks, you need a vehicle with tech that can keep up with your curiosity. We really think Nissan understood the needs of the average Nissan driver with this year’s updates. Many people notice the new fascia right away, but some of the most fun upgrades are inside, on the technology front. Visit us and check them out in person. For now, here’s a sneak peek at some of the highlights.
Google Built-In
Google is the most popular search engine, and the majority of drivers are already comfortable and familiar with Google products, from YouTube to Android. Now, drivers of the 2024 Nissan Rogue can have all of the functionality and convenience they love about Google right in their vehicle, thanks to the Rogue’s all-new Google built-in feature on the SL and Platinum trims.
When we say built-in, we mean built-in. You do not need to sync up a smartphone to the vehicle’s infotainment system to use Google apps. If you want, you can even leave your phone at home (but we know you won’t because we're all addicted to our phones these days). You can access all of your favourite Google products, like Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play, right there on the touchscreen. No smartphone or other device is required.
That means you can use the navigation system you’re already accustomed to. Plus, if you use Google Maps across various devices and sign into your account in your vehicle, it will sync your Google preferences and upload them to the Rogue. That means if you have daily routes and favourite destinations in Google Maps on your phone, the system in your vehicle will automatically show these.
Google Assistant makes it easy to get answers to just about any question. Now, you can use it wherever you are. If you’re driving along and realize you don’t remember when the next major holiday is or want to know what the weather will be like tomorrow, just ask Google Assistant. Literally, just ask it with your voice—no hands needed. This is a terrific feature for busy individuals who are always juggling tons of tasks and appointments.
You can also use Google Assistant to play songs, make phone calls, look up directions, and more. It’s nice when you don’t have to learn a whole new system in order to utilize all the perks of your vehicle. Now, you can use the search engine and products that you already know and love in your Nissan SUV.
An Extended NissanConnect Services Plan
If you already loved all of the features of the NissanConnect Services plan but didn’t like paying for it, we’ve got great news: the 2024 Rogue extends the free trial period from six months to three years. You read that correctly; it has increased sixfold.
NissanConnect is an excellent suite of features and benefits available to drivers of all Nissan vehicles. One of the top benefits we point out to drivers is the access to emergency services. When you have this feature, just press the SOS button, and your vehicle will automatically send your GPS coordinates to emergency services. This can be a life-saving feature after you’ve been in an accident and provides tremendous peace of mind when you’re travelling on new or dangerous roads. Even when you don’t need emergency services, the system will connect you to a live agent who can send you roadside assistance when you’re having car troubles.
NissanConnect will connect to your smartphone when you have the associated MyNissan app. This gives you access to other great functions, like locking and unlocking your doors remotely. You’ll love being able to lock your Rogue from your smartphone, wherever you are, once you realize you forgot to do so. Or you can unlock it for a friend or family member who needs to get in and doesn’t have the key. This app also gets you access to the remote engine start function, which means you can get the climate control going before you even get in the vehicle.
The 2024 Nissan Rogue will give you a vehicle health report. This report provides a rundown on the vital components of your vehicle. You’ll see information on the brakes, engine, battery, tires, oil, and more. This report can help you stay on top of routine services and get ahead of problems down the road.
NissanConnect also provides a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can access the Internet on the go, even if the data plan on your phone has run out for the month. Again, the free trial now lasts for three years. Many drivers only keep a vehicle for three years, so you might just enjoy a free NissanConnect membership for the entire time you own your 2024 Rogue.
